All about…. Black Tongue
Black Tongue is a term used to describe a black stain on the top of the tongue. It is a harmless condition but it often gives people a fright when they first notice it.
What causes it?
In many cases, the cause of black tongue is unknown. It is common in smokers and in people whose diets lack fibre; and it sometimes occurs in people who are taking antibiotics.
How is it treated?
A healthy treatment is to suck on a fresh pineapple segment for five minutes twice daily for a week.
