Breastfeeding causes the breasts to sag?

Breastfeeding causes the breasts to sag? Breastfeeding does not cause the breasts to sag, new research has uncovered.

US plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Rinker debunked the myth after examining photographs of 93 sets of his patient’s breasts.

He found no difference in the sag of mothers who breastfed and mothers who didn’t.

His examination did reveal that the number of pregnancies and history of smoking were associated with breast sag.

If you’ve been blaming breastfeeding for “ruining” your breasts, you’re probably wrong. Pregnancy alone is much more likely to be the cause. It also means that once you’re pregnant you might as well plan to breastfeed since the damage to your breasts (if there is going to be any) is already done.

“Many women who come in for breast surgery tell us their breasts are sagging, drooping or are less full because they breastfed,” Dr. Brian Rinker, a University of Kentucky surgeon and one of the authors of the study presented Sunday, said on the society’s website.

“Although the amount of sagging in the breasts appears to increase with each pregnancy, we’ve found that breastfeeding does not worsen the effect.”

However, said the authors, pregnancy can cause changes in breast size.

I saw that video on TV documentary a year or so ago, but it didn’t stop there. They showed a man suckling from his wife, which isn’t exactly normal
    When do these people stop?

Wow! Not my business, but as a mother I am not sure what I think about that. I am going to have to pass that one on.
